The Fete de la Musique (Music Festival) is an event that began in France in 1982 as a government initiative to celebrate music and its performers. To date this festival has been adopted by cities on the five continents and is currently celebrated in more than 120 cities as “The International Day of Music”. In San Jose del Cabo we have adopted the concept of this festival to bring together, like the rest of the world, amateur and professional musicians every summer solstice.

Our goal is to establish this tradition in San Jose del Cabo so that it continues to be celebrated year after year. The organizing committee of the Music Festival has been given the task of presenting the main stage with a visual attraction that generates a benefit to society. This year our campaign was “Manos al Estero” (Lend a hand to help the Estuary), and plants were collected for the creation of the VIVARTE scenario. The funds collected from the event will be used to achieve a great reforestation of the estuary.
