Playa Balandra beach on the big screen thanks to Camino A Marte

Playa Balandra beach, recognized as one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico, was the scene of the film Camino A Marte.

La Paz, Baja California Sur, 2017.- On December 1st Camino A Marte will be released, a Mexican film that features a tour of Baja California Sur, with the main destination Playa Balandra beach in La Paz.Playa Balandra beach, recognized by Trip Advisor as one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico, and number one in the top ten of 10 Best USA Today in 2016, was the destination chosen by Tigre Pictures and Filmadora Nacional to be part of the Camino A Marte adventure. Sandra Felix, Director of the Tourism Trust of La Paz, said she was proud and grateful that through Camino A Marte an invitation is extended to all to visit this magnificent place in La Paz, Baja California Sur. “We are proud that Balandra has been chosen as the location of a film with the importance of Camino A Marte, with a great cast and a production that invites you to take a road trip like the protagonists in the film take.”

During the press conference each of the protagonists, Luis Gerardo Mendez, Camila Sodi and Tessa La, expressed they were pleasantly surprised filming in the colorful scenery of La Paz. “La Paz has a very rich lifestyle; you get on a boat and you can see an amazing marine safari,” were the words with which Luis Gerardo Mendez described his experience in the destination during the filming. On the other hand, Tessa La assured us she was surprised with “scenarios of another world”.

Camino A Marte is an invitation to visit the destination and get to know the contrasts of Baja California Sur. In La Paz you can enjoy unique experiences such as the sighting of gray whales, whale sharks and an incredible variety of marine fauna.
